Behind The Lens

This was the first frame I took that night. I hadn’t intended to start shooting yet—I was just watching, letting the light settle. And then she appeared, her face tilted toward the sky, the columns of the museum rising behind her like something ancient and unmoving. There was no time to adjust. She was already gone. But that’s the nature of New York: its most unforgettable moments are the ones that barely touch you before they pass.
