Behind The Lens

It was late, just before the final show began. I stood across from the Richard Rodgers Theatre, watching the way people moved beneath the marquee—some hurried, some lingering. Then she came into frame, not posing or pausing, just passing through. The light wrapped around her softly, while “Hamilton” hovered like a ghost of ambition behind her. I didn’t stage this. I didn’t have to. It was the kind of moment New York offers only once, then takes away. I pressed the shutter before it disappeared.
