Behind The Lens

I had only a few seconds before the train left the frame. She stood just close enough to the edge, lost in her own world, unaware of the movement behind her. There was something about the way the light hit her silk and the wind caught her hair—so effortless, so real. I didn't ask her to stand still. She simply did. In that space between departure and arrival, between rush and reflection, I saw something beautifully still. I shot once. That was all I needed.
